Thnouh School
Thnouh School is an extension of a Khmer vernacular stilt house. While a stilt house amalgamates the domestic village life, daily routines and social rituals into one organic whole, the project transposes this idea of a house into a village school. In other words, Thnouh School embodies the domestication of early childhood and primary education. The project takes its primary form from the section of a stilt house being horizontally stretched along the site - an elongated vernacular stilt house.
